Photography has very little to do with a camera

I had to renew my photography insurance this week, all paid up for another year…that doesn’t mean you can now nick my stuff on a shoot. I probably shouldn’t have said that, I’m giving you all ideas.

Since I’ve not been out of the house, I got talking to the guy on the phone, firstly about Assassin’s Creed Origins, which I have completed, 100% since I have nothing else to do. Then we talked about equipment and gear.

It’s a funny thing about equipment, some people are a little snobby about it, i.e. the more expensive the camera, the better photos you take. Personally, I don’t agree with that.

I personally think that all photography is about 10 – 20% equipment. I think escort photography is about working with someone, it’s not about the camera, it’s about knowing your subject. Now, everyone is different, that’s why I always spend the first few minutes of a shoot having a chat (and a cuppa, I do require a cuppa at the start), so I can obverse you, if you’re right or left handed, which side you feel most comfortable with, the little nuances you display…it also gives you the chance to relax.

With my time off, I’ve been watching tutorials on lighting, photoshop etc, but also I’ve been reading up on body language as well. I’ve always had an interest body language, it’s interesting to see what someone is saying with their gestures and facial expressions. So brushing up has been good.

I had an email from a lady recently saying she’s nervous about being in front of the camera, which I hear a lot…a lady doesn’t know how to stand, pose, whether to smile or not etc…that’s where I come in. I can help you look your best, I’ll give you the direction you need, how to breathe correctly, how to look your best, but still be you.

Be Sexy. Be You.

I completely understand you might be nervous about a photo shoot, but I’d like to think that a shoot with me will change that for you. Some of my recent Feedback

I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed working, and socializing with you. It’s been a really refreshing change. You’ve made my last couple of shoots a lot easier and stress free, you’re so good at making people feel comfortable in front of the camera. Which was something I really struggled to achieve.
