A couple shoot

I’ve not done a couple shoot before, well, not at the same time, but the other week, I had the chance to work with a couple, who wanted both solo and couples shots for their profiles, which I was happy to oblige.
The shoot was in a flat (I’m used to working in smaller places), with a couple of different locations, i.e. a living room and a bedroom, it’s always nice to have a few different back drops and settings.
It turns out the male hadn’t had a photo shoot before, so I was ‘pop his cherry’ so to speak. I actually find it easier to work with people who haven’t done ‘modelling’ before, since they are easier to direct. Some models I have worked with seem to contort themselves into all sorts of shapes, where a non-model will stand there and do as they are requested.
Here are a few (which I’ve been allowed to share of both of them, solo and together). I have ‘over edited’ a few of them, on request of the couple, but the rest are all natural, as I prefer to work.

I posted a behind the scenes shot in my last blog, but here’s another one.

This week, I have a 4 hour shoot with someone, which I’m looking forward to, since we’ve discussed a lot of details and shared a few images we’re going to try and recreate. I do love the creative side of things and then capturing the image, it’s such a good feeling knowing how much work can go into each photo.
